This picture of a derelict ferry initially gives the impression of sadness and emptiness. The audience may have the feeling of something that was very impressive and has become nothing more than a wreck. However when you look more closely at the picture you notice the darkness of the blank windows and of the tunnels under the quay. With the right atmosphere set by music you might begin to wonder what might be hiding in these dark empty areas. The expanse of water makes it seem like an isolated spot where there would not be many people around. This adds to the desolate effect.
