This picture has an air of mystery about it as we can’t see what is hidden by the mist in the distance. The road leads us towards the unknown and we can’t tell what we might find at the end of it. Mist can be cold and damp and give us the same feelings on our skin as the coldness and clamminess of fear. It also has associations with the supernatural and with frightening situations.
